I moderated this forum alongside David Dupont, a mentor of mine during my time writing for the BG Independent News. We prepared for it by discussing categories of issues regarding rental housing and formed questions from them while receiving assistance from councilperson Jeff Dennis, who helped organize the forum. David and I planned out the logistics of the moderation as well, such as how long candidates would have to answer questions and the order in which they would be asked. It turned out to be a very informative, education and enjoyable experience. The article linked was written by Jan-Larson McLaughlin, another mentor of mine at the BG Independent News.
